When you rent your property to us:

Contact usWill my apartment stay in good condition?
Yes. The apartment’s occupancy rate is actually lower than if a tenant lived there 365 days a year. Our apartments are cleaned regularly from floor drains to ceiling. For example, the sauna, refrigerator, filters, and similar are cleaned more often than in an average household. Residents are always given on-site instructions on how to use appliances and machines, and they are provided with quality cleaning supplies for self-cleaning. Our staff inspects the apartment’s condition regularly.
If tenants change frequently, will it disturb other residents in the building?
No. The apartments are inhabited by ordinary families and employees. Kotimaailma’s principle is to assist residents throughout their stay. Apartments are handed over to tenants on-site, where our staff goes through the building’s rules as well as Kotimaailma’s own, even stricter housing regulations. Tenants commit to following these rules.
Is Kotimaailma a long-term tenant?
Yes. Kotimaailma invests thousands of euros furnishing each apartment. We therefore do not want the lease to end soon, as the investment needs time to pay off. Long-term cooperation benefits both you and Kotimaailma.
Does Kotimaailma pay rent even if no one is living in the apartment?
Yes. Kotimaailma pays the monthly rent regardless.
Does Kotimaailma pay a security deposit?
According to the agreement. Kotimaailma is responsible for all tenant obligations as well as any damage beyond normal wear and tear, just like any tenant. The rental relationship is based on mutual trust. Kotimaailma is a financially stable company with a good reputation. We have proper insurance and excellent references. Kotimaailma manages hundreds of apartments across Finland. If all these apartments required separate security deposits of several hundred or thousand euros, Kotimaailma would need to tie tens of thousands of euros in accounts where the money earns little or no interest. For this reason, Kotimaailma prefers lease agreements that clearly define liability for damages without requiring a separate security deposit payment.
Is the apartment insured?
Yes. Kotimaailma ensures that each apartment has appropriate insurance coverage.
How does Kotimaailma handle water fees?
Water fees are paid according to the housing company’s standard practice, either based on consumption or as a fixed fee. If the apartment has individual water meters, Kotimaailma pays the consumption-based settlement fees as well as the normal water fee advances.
If a fixed water fee based on the number of occupants applies, we regularly provide the housing company with accurate information about the actual number of residents. Our cooperation with housing companies has always been smooth and flawless.
